Catalyst and Heitman Break Ground on a New Inpatient Rehabilitation for PAM Health

January 22, 2025

PENSACOLA, FL – Catalyst Healthcare Real Estate (Catalyst), a healthcare real estate development and investment firm, has partnered with Heitman, a $50 billion global real estate investment management firm, to construct a 50,737-square-foot Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital (IRH) for PAM Health.

Construction is already underway on PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wiregrass Ranch, which is across the street from the newly opened BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel and down the road from AdventHealth Wesley Chapel. Strategically positioned, it will serve 12 hospitals within a 20-mile radius and complement Orlando Health’s 300-bed hospital, also currently under construction.

“With our proximity to Tampa, Clearwater, Sarasota, and Orlando, we are able to offer vital rehabilitation services to these growing communities,” said Anthony Misitano, Founder, Chairman and CEO of PAM Health. “We look forward to providing impactful care for individuals recovery from accidents, surgeries, and illnesses.”

“We are excited to continue our relationship with Catalyst and with PAM Health. We believe this inpatient rehab hospital will play an important role in providing rehabilitation services to a growing Wesley Chapel community” said Brian Pieracci, Head of Private Equity – North America at Heitman.

Fully leased and operated by PAM Health, the new hospital will offer inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy. These comprehensive, individualized treatments aim to enhance patient recovery and outcomes.

"Breaking ground on our fifth Florida rehabilitation hospital in Wesley Chapel is a testament to PAM Health's dedication to meeting the state's evolving healthcare needs,” said Alex Bell, Senior Vice President at Catalyst. “This new location represents a substantial investment in the community and will provide much-needed access to specialized rehabilitative care for patients throughout the region."

This project underscores Catalyst and Heitman’s shared commitment to delivering impactful healthcare solutions for PAM Health through innovative real estate development.
